Have you ever noticed how flexible time is? Sometimes the minutes are longer than ages, the days are slowly passing by, but there comes a moment when you turn around and you can’t believe that 3/4 of the year has already gone and you have just three months to complete your annual plans, achieve the yearly goals and prepare for the next year. When did this year pass and what have you done during it? Hopefully, the answer to the second question is not ‘too little!’ If you want to make the most of the last three months of 2014, you will need to sit down and check your progress so far. Try to remember what your business plans and goals were at the start of 2014 and tick the ones you have already achieved. If you made the effort to write down what you aimed to achieve at the beginning of the year, it will be easier for you to see where you are now. If not – you can always try it next year. Just as your business grows, so must your marketing plan and now that we have entered a new year, it is a perfect time to write or update your plan for 2014.  All businesses, regardless of their size, should be able to understand their marketing options, know what may work for them and anticipate their return of investment. Not sure where to start?  If your budget is limited then consider the free options first.  Free does not necessarily mean bad in today’s business environment particularly when it comes to press releases, newsletters and social media.  Social media is becoming more and more popular with Australian businesses and allows you to connect with your customers directly.  It is also a great opportunity for testing out ideas or new products and services.
